Butler Harwell is a lifestyle technology concierge. We design and install sophisticated technology solutions that are harmonious with luxury interior design. We selectively partner with respected brands, aligned in our pursuit to make homes more comfortable, convenient and enjoyable. We work with CEDIA to educate Design and Build professionals with our technology expertise and assist in achieving unison between design and technology.
Industry recognised for our breath-taking Home Cinema Rooms and Multi-Purpose Media Rooms, Butler Harwell project manages the design and integration of Multi-Room AV, Whole Home Automation, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-Con), Security, Intelligent Lights and Shades, Specialist Electrical Works, and Outdoor Technology. Our credible team of Lifestyle Technology devotees manage briefs, design, installation and aftercare, to craft exceptional living spaces and provide a wraparound service at any point we’re needed.

For Butler Harwell, there’s no such thing as one size fits all. First-class design starts with good comprehension of a homeowner’s lifestyle, personal style, and each unique property. We work with our clients’ Architects and Interior Designers to elevate designs, sourcing, recommending, and crafting the most suitable solutions for each brief: light fittings, personalised controls and automated scene settings, colour-matching, custom-made housing units, and specialist lighting design. We work exclusively with brand partners who value aesthetics in product design and we use use tools to help clients visualise room design before any work commences.
2. Technology
Technology is important to us at Butler Harwell, it’s what live and breathe, but that doesn’t make it the key feature of a home. We believe modesty is the ultimate form of sophistication.
We enhance the home experience through simplified (yet highly intelligent) solutions, for a more comfortable, convenient and enjoyable environment to spend time in, without compromising on design.
The modern home has around seven appliances in use at any one time and, with the growth of the digital lifestyle, that’s set to increase. Our Lifestyle Technology sub-systems de-clutter unsightly wires, unnecessary devices, and simplify the controls, allowing homeowners to manage their homes with ease.
We build robust and compact wiring infrastructures for the reliable and sustainable running of Lifestyle Technology. Our specialists build bespoke, centralised control hubs off-site and install them in concealed, yet accessible spaces in a client’s home to allow the smooth operation of all subsystems in one place.
3. Concierge
We want to help homeowners upgrade their homes for enhanced home living experiences. Technology is notoriously complicated, to the point it can be off-putting. We’re here to simplify technology use, bring homes up-to-date and, where possible add luxury. To guarantee best results, we operate as a Technology Design Concierge, project managing each step of the process and simplifying decisions for our clients.
Our substantial team of project managers, engineers and technology specialists enables us to provide wraparound support at every stage of a project: design, installation and aftercare.
Directors Tom Butler and Roy Ashby share a lifetime of experience in the Technology Industry and have built a respectful team of technology experts with the tools, passion and design vision to craft intelligent interiors to industry leading standards
